Security We do all that we can to protect your personal information and provide a secure experience. However, we rely on you to take further precautions to ensure your online safety. General Guidelines • Make sure all operating systems and antivirus software are up-to-date. • Always use secure wireless (WiFi) networks that require a password. • Never leave a computer or device unattended when logged in. • Regularly monitor recent account history for unauthorized transactions. • Always log off when finished. Login ID and Password • Create strong login IDs and passwords by using a mixture of case styles, numbers and special characters. • Do not create passwords that contain personal information. • Change passwords periodically and memorize them. • Only register personal computers and devices. • Avoid using features that save login IDs and passwords. Fraud Prevention • Do not open email attachments or click/tap on links from unsolicited sources. • Avoid giving out personal information on the phone or through email. • Shred unwanted sensitive documents including receipts, checks, deposit slips, pre-approved credit card offers and expired cards. • Act quickly. If you suspect that financial information has been compromised, call us immediately at (800) 639-5111.

Logging In Logging in to online banking is easy. Just launch your web browser and go to capitalbank-us.com .

Main Menu Main menu items display after you log in. Items include viewing your accounts, depositing a check (if using an app) and managing alerts.

Accounts Summary & Details The Accounts screen displays your active accounts, as well as the available and current balances, and transaction activities for each.

1 Current accounts are displayed in boxes at the top of the screen. Click the icon in upper-right corner to reveal additional account setting options. 2 Click/Tap the arrow icons to navigate to a new menu item window. 3 Enter transaction information into the Search bar to reveal search results.

4 Click the Export icon to save account information in an electronic format. 5 Click on the Printer icon to the left of the Search bar to print transactions. To print a specific date range, sort your transactions by clicking the Filter icon to the right of the Search bar prior to printing. 6 Additional transaction information displays underneath a selected account. Click/Tap an entry to reveal a snapshot of details about that transaction. 7 Click/Tap Live Chat to chat with an agent during the operational hours of Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET. 8 To view a check within your transaction information, click on the check image. A new window appears with a print option located above the image.

Transfer Funds – Initiate Transfer At the center of online banking is the ability to transfer funds between your accounts at Capital Bank. Here you can quickly initiate a one-time transfer or schedule recurring transfers to be processed automatically.

1 Select Transfers from the main menu to initiate a single funds transfer. On the next screen, drag an account to the Transfer From box or you may select it from the drop-down list under Select . 2 Next, drag an account to the Transfer To box or you may select it from the drop-down list under Select . 3 Then, enter the amount and date of the transfer to be processed in the required field. 4 Enter a note (optional). 5 Click/Tap Submit .

Transfer Funds – Scheduled Transfers View scheduled details regularly so you can stay in control of account transfer activities that occur.

External Transfer – Accounts You can view and search the accounts you have already set up for external transfers, and add accounts as needed.

To review details about an existing account, click/tap an account entry.

External Transfer – Initiate Transfer Initiate a one-time or recurring transfer to an account at another institution.

1 Select External Transfer from the main menu to initiate an external funds transfer. On the next screen, select the From Account from the drop-down list. 2 Next, select the To Account from the drop-down list. 3 Then, enter the amount of the external transfer. 4 Select the frequency of the external transfer. 5 Click/Tap Submit .

External Transfer – Transfer History Review the details of your external transfer history regularly so you can be confident that they are being effectively processed.

Bill Pay – Add a Payee Before you pay a bill, you must set up payees. A payee can be a company (light, water, internet, etc.) or an individual. Payees must be located within the United States. Individuals paid through Bill Pay will always receive a paper check. For electronic delivery to individuals, go to Pay a Friend on page 20 .

3 Enter the payee name, payee nickname (optional) and account number. Scroll down to enter the address for the payee, including the city, state and zip code. Click/Tap Done when finished.

5 Click/Tap Edit to revise payee information. Click/Tap Delete to remove the payee from the list.

Bill Pay – Pay a Bill Just like transferring funds, paying bills shouldn't require taking extra steps to complete. Bill Pay saves you time and effort by allowing you to pay bills in one place.

On the next screen, drag an account to the Pay From box or you may select it from the drop-down list under Select . 2 Select a payee from the Available Payees drop-down list. 3 If a payee is not listed, you can add one by either taking a photo of a payment voucher (for mobile devices), or uploading an image file (computer).

4 The image you uploaded appears in this space. 5 Enter the amount. 6 Click/Tap Change Frequency to set up recurring payments only. 7 Click/Tap Standard US Mail or Overnight Mail . Overnight Mail incurs an additional fee and requires and overnight address (P.O. Box not accepted). 8 Enter a date you want the payment to be delivered. Click/Tap Submit . 9 Upon submitting a bill payment, a confirmation message and number appears. Right-click and select Print to print the confirmation.

Bill Pay – Scheduled Payments Maintaining transaction information and due dates can become daunting if they frequently occur. Viewing a list of scheduled payments and details keeps you organized to avoid any unwanted surprises.

Bill Pay – Payment History Viewing your payment history details is essential for record keeping. Check payments are also displayed here, which do not debit your account until the payee has processed them.

Pay a Friend Rather than waiting to pay friends the next time you see them, quickly send money to them using the Pay a Friend feature. You will both appreciate how innovative and easy the process can be!

1 Click/Tap Pay a Friend from the main menu. Next, drag an account to the Pay From box or you may select it from the drop-down list under Select . 2 Enter a name in the Pay To field. Then, click/tap the Choose Send Method drop-down list and select either the Email or Mobile Phone option. 3 Once you have selected a preferred option, enter the information based on your choice. 4 Then, click/tap the Amount required field and enter the amount. 5 Enter a security question. This is an added measure of security. Be sure only the recipient can answer the question you choose. Then, enter the answer to the security question. Click/Tap Submit when finished.

Money Manager Overview (PFM) We understand how important it is to manage your finances. Therefore, we make it possible for you to view and manage all of your financial accounts—even from other financial institutions—in one place with our Money Manager feature.
