Stop Payments Written Check

If a check you’ve written has been lost or stolen, you can initiate a stop payment request to prevent that check from being processed.

Note: If you have access to Positive Pay, you will need to navigate to Fraud Prevention Tools to make a stop payment.

In the Accounts tab, click Stop Payments . 1. Use the drop-down to select a stop payment account.

2. Select “Written Check.” 3. Enter the check number. 4. Enter the check amount. 5. (Optional) Enter a payee. 6. Enter a check date. 7. Use the drop-down to select a reason. 8. Click the Submit button.
