Tools (Payments & Transfers) Verifying a Personal External Account

As soon as First Citizens makes two small deposits of less than a dollar into your external account, you are asked to verify those amounts within Digital Banking. Once they are confirmed, you can begin transferring money to the external account.

On the Payments & Transfers landing page, click Confirm External Transfer Accounts . 1. Select the account you would like to verify. 2. Enter the amounts of the two micro-deposits made into your external account. 3. Click the Continue button when you are finished. Once you hit the Submit button, you will be required to select your delivery method to receive a secure access code (SAC). Once you’ve received and entered your SAC, click the Verify button and the transaction will proceed.
