Service Center Manage Overdrafts

Manage Overdrafts lets you opt into overdraft protection on your eligible accounts. All First Citizens consumer checking accounts receive basic protection for checks, ACH withdrawals and recurring debit card transactions. If you make an ATM withdrawal or use a debit card for a purchase and the amount of the transaction is greater than your checking account balance, the transaction will be declined. First Citizens may cover the purchase at our discretion and charge you a fee for this service only if you are enrolled in our Overdraft Service with ATM/ Debit card coverage. Please see our Fee Schedule for details.

Note : If you are enrolled in the Overdraft Service, you can opt out at any time. To do so, you will navigate to the “Manage Overdrafts” page and toggle the “Enroll” switch back to “No”. Pending selections may take up to 2 business days for processing.
