Receiving a Payment from Pay a Person When a Northern member sends a payment using Pay a Person, the recipient has to take action on the payment within 10 days. They will receive a reminder after 5 days. After 10 days, the payment will automatically be cancelled.

The recipient will receive a notification (text message or email) that they have received a payment. 1. Click the Deposit Now button. 2. Confirm your identity by answering the security questions, then click the Continue button.

Note : The recipient has 3 attempts to answer the security questions correctly, or the transfer is automatically cancelled.
