18 10. Select a product or service or create a new one. For more information about creating a product or service, go to page 114. 11. Enter a quantity. 12. Enter a price. (The amount field will automatically populate.) 13. (Optional) Enter a description. 14. To add an additional product or service, click the “+ Add line item” link. 15. To add a discount, click the “+ Add Discount” link. Use the drop-down to select a discount type, enter a discount and click the “Apply Discount” link. Discounts are not available for recurring invoices. 16. To enable sales tax, click the “+ Turn on sales tax” link. Click the toggle, enter the sales tax rate and click the “Save changes” link. 17. (Optional) Check the box to apply sales tax. 18. (Optional) Enter a message. 19. After completing an invoice, you have a couple of options: a. Click the Send invoice button to send the invoice. b. Click the “Preview invoice” link to see what your customer will see when receiving this invoice. c. Click the “Save invoice as draft” link to save this invoice as a draft, you can come back and edit this draft later. Not available for recurring invoices. d. Click the “Save to list” link to create the invoice, but not send it. Not available for recurring invoices.
