• Avoid giving out personal information on the phone or through email. Even though the bank will never call you unsolicited to request information such as your account number or your full social security number, there may be instances in which the bank may need to call you and verify that they are speaking with you. This could be in regards to the bank investing possible fraud situations, or this can be the bank following up on a request you submitted through our online banking chat. In these instances, a bank employee may ask for identifying information such as the last four numbers of your social security number or drivers’ license number. • Shred unwanted sensitive documents including receipts, checks, deposit slips, pre-approved credit card offers and expired cards. • Act quickly. If you suspect your financial information is compromised, call us immediately at (800) 945-0073.
