Remote Deposit Capture Deposit Status - Definitions

Each deposit submitted through Remote Deposit Capture is assigned a status that indicates its current stage in the processing workflow. Understanding these statuses helps you track whether a deposit has been submitted, is being processed, or has been completed. This section explains the meaning of each status and when action may be required. The deposit Status is displayed on the Home page after you login. In the Services tab, click Remote Deposit Capture . Open: A deposit is placed in “Open” status when the deposit is newly created or when a user has reopened a deposit to add additional images or to resolve exceptions. Uploading: A deposit that is in the process of uploading items. Suspended: A deposit will remain in the “Suspended” status when the user saves a deposit for later capture or error resolution. This status is functionally the same as “Open” but indicates that no user is currently working on the deposit. Capture Complete: A deposit is placed in “Capture Complete” status when the user selects “Capture Complete.” This status means that the user has finished scanning checks. Additional steps are still needed to finalize the batch process. In Use: This is a deposit that is in use by your bank or another operator. No actions are allowed on this deposit while in use. Ready For Approval: A deposit is automatically placed in “Ready for Approval” status when it is in “Capture Complete” status and the user has resolved or accepted all capture exceptions. Pending Review: A deposit is placed in “Pending Review” status when the User has submitted the batch to Western State Bank for review/approval. Under Review: A deposit is placed in “Under Review” status when Western State Bank is in the process of reviewing/approving the batch. Submitted: A deposit is placed in “Submitted” status when a user submits the deposit and all exceptins are resolved or accepted. A deposit that was submitted can be viewed but cannot be modified. Delivered: A deposit is placed in “Delivered” status when the deposit has been extracted for processing at Western State Bank. A pending memo credit should display on the account once this status is achieved.
